The stories are presented in plain text versions and illustrated PDF versions formatted for easier reading and featuring the original illustrations by Sidney Paget and Frank Wiles that accompanied the stories when first published in The Strand Magazine.

The PDF files can be easily viewed with the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The CD-Rom also features 54 Radio plays originally broadcast in the period 1939-47 by NBC in the series The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes which starred Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in the roles of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively. Included amongst the plays are some of the best known of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes adventures.

However the collected volume of The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes is still under copyright in the US as are the NBC radio plays. For this reason the CD-ROM is not available for sale in the US.
