Kottke.org is one of a number of sites that I visit regularly and hopefully this project of his will prove fruitful and it make it a site even more worth visiting.
Of course it could all be a cleverly constructed con that he has been planning for around a decade. Build a website filled with interesting links and content that becomes one of the most visited blogs on the Interweb, lull people into thinking he is a thoroughly decent chap and fleece us poor deluded schmucks. He will then use his ill-gotten gains to purchase a pirate ship, hire a crew and plunder the Spanish Main.
