Nine Queens is a great film, somewhat similar to Mamet's House of Games but in my opinion superior. Two conmen who just happen to meet are trying to make a score from the sale of nine rare stamps the 'Nine Queens' of the title. If you haven't seen it then I insist you rent out from your local video store.
Goodbye Lenin! is another great film. A German comedy and no that is not an oxymoron. Set just after the Berlin Wall has come down in East Germany a young man whose mother has just come out of a coma must pretend that they are still living in a communist country because the shock of the truth might kill her.
